The Sound Suppression System:

 Usually, we have all seen when ISRO, NASA launches the Rockets, at that time of Rocket lift off, if we look around the Rocket there will be a Haze of White smoke, then we will think that it is all the smoke from the Rocket, but it is not only the smoke from the Rocket, it is just water only. They spray almost 13 lakh liters of water there. If we did not spray the water, maybe the Rocket falls towards the ground.


          What do you think works of water at the time of exhaust comes?

If we want to know about the Rocket Science behind this water, we need to know the basic Science behind the sound.

First of all, What is Sound?

         Sound is when we vibrate the air molecules around us when we speak or sing. When our ears sense this vibration, then only we can hear the Sounds.
         We say sound because there is vibration in these molecules, if this vibration is high, the sound will be increased, and if the vibration is low, then the sound also will be lower.
         So, now we know that vibration is increased, then the sound also will be improved. We measure the loudness of the sound in-unit Decibel(dB).
         Usually, we speak at 60 Decibels(dB) so, thus our voice will be heard sweetly. But some people talk at 120 Decibel(dB), so we have a slight earache at that time. When the gun fired up to 140 Disable(dB), then we will have ear noise.
         Well! Now, we are going to see what is the relation between sound vibration and the Rocket launch.
         Not only we can hear this sound vibration, but we can also tilt an object down even; also, we can break the thing.
Let us try now using Vortex Cannon to tilt or break down an object,


Using this Vortex Cannon, we can produce the sound vibration up to 150 Decibels (dB). Let's see if we can break this object by producing 150 Decibel(dB).

Now we change this setup by placing a water droplet shower between the object and the Vortex Cannon.


Now this time, the object is not felt or broken because,
                When we switch on the Vortex Cannon, it will produce the sound vibration up to 150 Decibel(dB), but when the sound vibration crosses the water droplets, the water molecules will reduce and absorbs some of the sound vibrations, and it remains 100 Decibel(dB) to the object.

Now one of that thing that appears to us that is, at Rocket launches primarily exhaust and fire only producing then how the sound vibration comes,

              Of course, almost 180 Decibel(dB) sound vibration will be producing at Rocket launches. If this vibration touches the ground and may reflect to the Rockets and the Rockets will stumble and fall down and also causes an Explosion.

             So, when the Rocket launches like this, they spray 34 lakh liter of water; these water molecules absorb vibrations and reduce 180 dB into 140 dB so, Rockets lift off without stumbling.

             This used 34 lakh liter of water will be collected for this separate drainage system, and they re-use this water for their subsequent launches.
